Rawalpindi: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Nadeem Raza met Iraq’s defense Minister Juma Enad Sadoon Khattab Al Jibori on Friday, said military’s media wing.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Nadeem Raza is on an official visit to Iraq where he called on the Defense Minister of Iraq.
Chairman JCSC also held separate meetings with Chairman JCSC also held separate meetings with General Abdul Ameer Rasheed Yar Allah Al Lami, Iraqi Chief of Staff, and Lieutenant General Shahab Jihad Ali, Commander Iraqi Air Force, ISPR added.
Both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest including security, defense cooperation, and prevailing regional environment. The dignitaries dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of bilateral military engagements/cooperation between both countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper ties, said military’s media wing.
General Nadeem Raza also paid a visit to Defence University for Higher Military Studies (DUFHMS) and called on its Rector Lieutenant General Saad Mizhir Muhsin Hashim Al Allaq.
ISPR mentioned that CJCSC highlighted the positive role of Pakistan in countering violent extremism and also shared Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace and stability especially in Afghanistan during the dialogues.
