Germany on brink of imposing new lockdown restrictions after 'exponential growth' in cases
Berlin: Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel has warned of new coronavirus restrictions after cases are rise exponentially in the country.

According to details, Germany will likely re-impose several Covid-19 restrictions as number of cases see sharp surge in past few days.
The country's fight against Covid-19 has been held back by a slow vaccine delivery programme.
Mrs. Merkel is considering imposing new restrictions in areas where approximately 100 cases per 1000,000 residents are reported.
"The situation is becoming very difficult. We have exponential growth...so it is good we had agreed on an emergency brake and unfortunately we will have to make use of this emergency brake,” she said.
Following the emergence of a new Covid-19 variant found in United Kingdom (UK), infection rates have been rising in Germany.
On the other hand, France and Poland have also reintroduced partial lockdowns to curb the spread of novel coronavirus.
In Poland, all shops, hotels, cultural and sporting facilities are shut down for three weeks.
