The previous close of the US dollar on Tuesday was Rs221.99 with an increase of Rs6.79

Karachi: The US dollar on Wednesday showed no respite to the local currency and continued its upward trend to reach Rs226, an all-time high record.
According to details, the dollar was being traded around Rs226 against the PKR on the third day of the week as compared to the previous close of 221.99.
A day earlier, the dollar also gained a whopping Rs6.79 in the interbank amid political uncertainty in the country.
In the last three trading sessions, the local currency has lost over Rs14 against the greenback.
