Arch-rivals Pakistan, India clash in Asia Cup today
Pakistan and India will be squaring off next against each other— looking forward to emerge victorious.
Dubai: Pakistan and India are set to clash again on Sunday (today) in the Super four stage of Asia Cup 2022 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The match will start at 7:30pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
In today’s match, India and Pakistan will be squaring off next against each other— looking forward to emerge victorious.
The national team made it to the Super 4 phase of the tournament with a comprehensive win over Hong Kong on Friday.
Pakistan, however, have been hit with an injury to another fast bowler, with Shahnawaz Dahani ruled out of today's game with a "suspected side strain" while bowling against Hong Kong. Hasan Ali or Mohammad Hasnain will take his place.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released a statement on Saturday, regarding Shahnawaz Dahani's unavailability for Pakistan's next match in the Asia Cup.
Following the match against India, Pakistan will take on Afghanistan (7 September) and Sri Lanka (9 September) in their remaining Super Four encounters.
The top two teams at the end of the Super Four stage will make it to the final on 11 September (Sunday).
The first match between both these sides took place on August 28, wherein India beat their arch-rivals in a final-over by 5 wickets.
