Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, Dr. Faisal Sultan stated that Pakistan will receive another batch of over a million COVID-19 vaccine doses from China within a few days.

Dr. Faisal Sultan said in a tweet stated that the country has placed orders for the purchase of 1 million and 60,000 jabs of Sinopharm and CanSino from China.
“Several million additional doses are in the pipeline and will be delivered in April,” he added.

Pakistan is currently vaccinating frontline healthcare workers and senior citizens using Sinopharm doses donated by China.
According to latest statistics by the According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,525 cases of coronavirus were reported while 41 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 14,256.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 659,116.
As many as 598,197 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,055 critical cases.
