Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif says the government will unveil a historic Kissan package next week for the development of the agriculture sector.
After holding separate meetings with various delegations of farmers, he directed the committee of ministers to present actionable recommendations for redressal of growers’ problems, in consultation with their representatives at the earliest.
Describing agriculture as the backbone of the national economy, the Prime Minister said it is also very important for the socio-economic development of the country.
He expressed the resolve to provide all possible relief for the development of the agricultural sector and ensure the welfare of growers in the light of the committee’s recommendations.
