Pakistan will now take on hosts New Zealand in the final tomorrow
Christchurch: Pakistan defeat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the sixth match of the Twenty20 tri-series being played in Christchurch on Thursday.
The 101-run opening stand between Captain Babar Azam and ever-reliable Muhammad Rizwan sank Bangladesh.
Pakistan will now take on hosts New Zealand in the final tomorrow (Friday).
Muhammad Rizwan top-scored with 56-ball 69-run innings studded with four fours while Babar Azam hit 40-ball 55 runs with the help of nine fours. An unbeaten quick-fire 20-ball 45 runs by Muhammad Nawaz added punch to the Pakistani innings.
Pakistan surpassed the 174-run target on the penultimate ball of the match.
Earlier, Bangladesh set a challenging target of 174 runs to win for Pakistan in the sixth match.
