Govt files contempt petition against Imran Khan in Supreme Court
PTI activists damaged public, and private property in Red Zone
Islamabad: The federal government on Thursday filed a contempt of court petition against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for violating the court orders on May 25.
According to details, the government, in its petition, took a stance that the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan had been violated blatantly on May 25.
It further stated that Imran Khan gave a call to the PTI workers to reach D-Chowkinstead of going to H9 Ground. The PTI workers damaged public and private property in the Red Zone.
“It is clear from the reports of the police and intelligence agencies that the court orders had been defied,” it added.
