Bid to smuggle foreign currency foiled at Karachi airport
The amount of 46,605 Saudi Riyals worth more than Rs3 million in Pakistani currency.
Karachi: Customs officials Tuesday foiled the bid to smuggle more than 46,605 Saudi Riyals at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, GNN reported.
According to details, the officials recovered the currency from the clothes of the passenger who was traveling to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan.
The amount of 46,605 Saudi Riyals worth more than Rs3 million in Pakistani currency.
It is pertinent to mention that foreign currencies worth more than Rs17 million had been seized from the passengers traveling out of Pakistan in the running month.
However, the officials had started the legal proceedings against the accused.
