Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 3,953 new Covid-19 cases and 103 deaths, with authorities linking the uptick in numbers to the third wave of the deadly outbreak across the country.

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,953 cases of coronavirus were reported while 103 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 14,924.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 696184.
As many as 618,158 patients have recovered from the disease with 3,645 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 235,569 in the province with 6,675 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 266,926 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,510.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 93,033 in the province with 2,469 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 19,855 confirmed cases while 211 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 13,529 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 372. On the other hand, there are 5,061 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 62,211 cases in the capital city while 584 people have lost their lives.
