Singer Kaifi Khalil responds to ‘injury rumors’ in concert
Kaifi thanked all the fans who were worried for him.
Karachi: The popular young singer Kaifi Khalil Monday denied the rumors of him being attacked and injured at a festival in Karachi last night.
Since yesterday, many people tweeted and claimed that the singer was attacked with a bottle during the concert in Karachi, due to which he got injured and left the concert unfinished.
Monday morning, the singer turned to Twitter and issued an explanatory statement on all these rumors and said that there is no truth in the circulating news about him being injured, stating that he was fine.
Kaifi thanked all the fans who were worried for him.
At the same time, he expressed regret and sorrow over the disorder in the concert last night and gave the reason for leaving the concert unfinished.
He said, "I am extremely disappointed and upset because of what happened yesterday. Ladies that came to enjoy the evening with their family and friends were harassed and treated inappropriately by a group of individuals that lacked decency and common sense”.
Shedding light on cancelling the performance he wrote that he left the concert unfinished because what was happening there was not bearable for him.
He requested the administration to make proper arrangements for women so that such untoward incidents do not happen, people come to enjoy such events.
“This is the second time that I have had to leave a concert because of disorder, this need to stop,” the singer said, adding that people should treat others with respect.
