PML-N nominates Mohsin Naqvi, Ahad Cheema for caretaker Punjab CM
The reports suggest that the PML-N has forwarded the names of media tycoon Mohsin Naqvi and former bureaucrat Ahad Cheema to Punjab governor for caretaker Punjab CM.
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday nominated media tycoon Mohsin Raza Naqvi and former bureaucrat Ahad Cheema for the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister.
The latest reports suggested that two names including Mohsin Raza Naqvi and Ahad Cheema were finalised for the slot of caretaker Punjab CM.
The PML-N forwarded the names to Punjab Governor.
Earlier, Former PTI leader and former Punjab Minister Aleem Khan started working for ‘lobbying’ for his nomination for the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister.
Aleem Khan who served as provincial minister in the cabinet of former Punjab CM Usman Buzdar and quit the party at later stage was now active for his nomination.
The PML-N, according to the media reports, held deliberations over the name of Aleem Khan, Najam Sethi and former bureaucrat Ahad Khan Cheema for the slot of caretaker Punjab CM.
However, one of the allied parties was not satisfied with the name of Najam Sethi while the PDM wanted to drag the matter to the ECP.
Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi had earlier proposed three names for caretaker Punjab CM after consultation with PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Ahmed Nawaz Sukhera, Naseer Ahmed Khan and Nasir Saeed Khosa have been finalized for the caretaker Punjab CM slot.
