Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that developed countries should increase the production of coronavirus vaccine and developing nations should be provided with the latest technology.

Addressing the D-8 Virtual Summit, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the world economy was damaged due to COVID-19, during which millions of people became unemployed and indebted, “we have to provide new platforms to the youth, to educate them whereas developed countries also have to teach skills,”
The Prime Minister said that coronavirus has done a great disservice to the developing countries, these countries cannot deal with these challenges alone, D-8 has been playing an effective role for the last 4 years.
Developed countries should increase the production of corona vaccine and technology should be transferred to the developing countries, he emphasised.
Imran Khan said that trade in D-8 countries will increase from $1 billion to $5 billion by 2025, “we have to provide a conducive environment for the best trade in the world.”
Addressing the D-8 Summit, the premier said that the challenges faced by Corona could not be tackled alone while the epidemic has damaged the world economy.
