Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Saturday said that the Bab-e-Pakistan project will tell the whole world the history of the establishment of Pakistan, while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Bab-e-Pakistan project in Lahore.
He said that Walton is the place where thousands of refugees came and stayed after partition.
The prime minister stated that this is my eighth or tenth visit here, adding that, “Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Muhammad Nawaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of the project in 1991 and Rs1.1 billion had been spent on this project”.
Shehbaz Sharif regretted that the Bab-e-Pakistan project was brutally damaged, ruins of the project are still there.
He further questioned that why National Accountability Bureau (NAB) never held the embezzlers accountable in the Bab-e-Pakistan project? In the past, justice was not served as innocent people were sent to the penitentiary. I pray that not even the enemy ever experience the penitentiary of NAB.
“Next week we will reach the agreement with International Monetary Fund (IMF), then I will discuss the reasons for delaying the project,” Sharif stated.
