Lahore: The controversial French magazine 'Charlie Hebdo’ is facing severe backlash on social media for making fun of the devastation of the earthquake in Turkey.

A cartoon has been published by Charlie Hebdo which has been named 'Cartoon of the Day'.

The controversial magazine 'Charlie Hebdo' headlined the earthquake in Turkey and wrote on the cartoon that 'there is no need to send tanks’.

Twitter users have also criticized the magazine for such hateful and biased content.

After the magazine published the satirical cartoon, journalists, civil society and researchers on social media criticized it for being racist for making fun of people in distress.

Former Federal Minister for Human Rights and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari, while reacting to the magazine's cartoon, wrote in a tweet that “hatred and Islamophobia are at their peak when a natural disaster like this by Charlie Hebdo, react”.

Federal minister of PTI wrote that” the voices of condemnation from Europe are waiting to come against this process”.

A user wrote that human morality teaches everyone to show compassion to other human beings in distressing situation.

Another Twitter user criticized the magazine and wrote that, "Look at this design, it's called freedom of expression, these people have unlimited hate but they just have no sense."
