Lahore: Pakistan’s women cricket team captain Bismah Maroof resigned from her position, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi Wednesday announced.
Najam Sethi turned to Twitter and wrote: “She wants to make way for younger colleague”.
He added that happily she will continue to play for Pakistan and bring laurels for her country.
I have accepted resignation of @maroof_bismah Captain of Pakistan Women’s National Team. She wants to make way for a younger colleague. But happily she will continue to play for Pakistan and bring laurels for her country.

Women cricket team has won 27 T20Is out of 62, under Bismah's leadership. While in One Day Internationals (ODIs) Pakistan won 16 out of 34 matches under her captaincy.
