Islamabad: The important meeting of the Federal Cabinet is scheduled to be held today (Thursday) at 11am in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.
According to details, the five-point agenda of the meeting has also been released.
It will undertake a report on power breakdown which will be briefed by power division officials on power line losses and theft. The agenda also include briefing on energy saving plan. After the official time in the federal cabinet, there will be a proposal to double the electricity rates in commercial areas.
The participants of the meeting will consult on the decision of the Supreme Court's suo moto notice case.
While, the National Clean Air Policy of the Ministry of Climate Change has also been included in the agenda.
The ratification of the January 6 decisions of the Cabinet Committee on Legislative Cases is also the part of today’s meeting agenda.
The bill for the establishment of National University of Pakistan will be presented in the federal cabinet meeting.
