Hajj arrangements: Ministry of Religious Affairs asks govt for additional $33M
Ministry of Religious Affairs said that less than expected dollars were received in the sponsorship scheme.

Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs requested another amount of 3.3 million dollars from the Ministry of Finance for Hajj arrangements.
According to media reports, Ministry of Religious Affairs said that less than expected dollars were received in the sponsorship scheme, therefore more dollars should be provided.
“If the required dollars were received under the sponsorship scheme, the Ministry of Finance will give 90 million dollars, ministry of religious affair added.
It further said that the quota can be returned to the Saudi government if the banking is reduced under the sponsorship scheme.
