Islamabad: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor died in a car accident on Saturday. A heavy vehicle hit the car of the federal minsiter as he came out of a local hotel and was going to Secretariat Chowk. The minister got injured in the accident and was shifted to Polyclinic hospital but he could not survive.

The police said that Hilux Revo, with five people on board, hit the car of the minister who was driving himself at Shahra-e-Dastoor. The police took the vehicle and the people on board into custody.
