Stage dancer shot dead in Hafizabad

Hafizabad: A stage dancer was killed in the Sharifpura neighborhood in Hafizabad district, the police said on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Munnaza Sultan alias Aashi.

The police said that Ashi was shot dead and her body was found from her home in Hafizabad. They said that the victim had married a former police constable three years ago.

It may be mentioned here that many laws have been enacted but the authorities could not ensure provision of rights to the citizens.  The women are subjected to the domestic violence and the main reason behind it is the lack of awareness among the women.
