Pakistan reports two cases of Monkeypox virus
The Senior officials of the Federal Ministry of Health say a person who arrived in Pakistan from Saudi Arabia on April 17 showed symptoms of Monkeypox after which the person was directed to undergo medical examinations at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Pakistan.

Islamabad: Pakistan reported two cases of the Monkeypox virus (a type of smallpox vaccine), the federal health officials said on Tuesday.
Senior officials of the Federal Ministry of Health stated that a person who arrived in Pakistan from Saudi Arabia on April 17 showed symptoms of Monkeypox after which the person was directed to undergo medical examinations at the Institute of Medical Sciences in Pakistan.
The officials stated that the affected person who came on the plane had symptoms that were also visible in another person who was seated with them, and when they were tested, Monkeypox virus was confirmed in both cases.
The officials said that the person, who arrived from Saudi Arabia, is admitted to the isolation ward of the PIMS Hospital, where his condition is stable.
Meanwhile, the other person who was sitting next to the infected passenger on the flight is in quarantine at his home and his condition is also stable.
The officials said that the affected persons are residents of Rawalpindi/Islamabad.
