Iman Ali criticizes celebrities who use social media excessively
The actress believes that celebrities capture and post their own pictures on the social media, it comes across as a cheap tactic and is not a reflection of the “star attitude”.

Karachi: Iman Ali, a popular Pakistani actor, recently spoke out about her dislike for social media, particularly when it comes to celebrities who use it excessively.
During a recent interview, a rising social media personality, Ali explained her reasons for disliking the platform.
The actress cited the discourteous behavior of people on social media as one reason why she dislikes it, pointing out that celebrities had to capture their own pictures for their social media profiles, a task that used to be done by paparazzi.
According to Ali, when celebrities capture and post their own pictures, it comes across as a cheap tactic and is not a reflection of the "star attitude." She added that such behavior gives the impression that people are "selling themselves" on social media.
When asked if she thought that people who post their pictures on digital platforms are selling themselves, Ali affirmed her opinion. She acknowledged that not everyone may agree with her, but she stood by her belief.
While many celebrities have spoken out about the negative aspects of social media, such as the constant scrutiny and negativity they have to deal with, it has also given them a direct line of communication with their fans. Social media platforms have provided opportunities for celebrities to share glimpses of their personal lives, which can be more interesting to fans than their work. Additionally, posting their own pictures on social media gives celebrities the power to control the narrative of their lives and avoid unwanted paparazzi attention.
In contrast, Paparazzi culture relies heavily on a lack of consent on the part of celebrities, which can lead to invasive and traumatic experiences for them. Celebrities have been known to speak out against paparazzi who intrude on their privacy, both in Pakistan and abroad.
For instance, Alia Bhatt slammed a publication for sending photographers to take pictures of her and her baby from a neighboring building, while Anushka Sharma called out the media for taking pictures of her and her husband, Virat Kohli, while they were having breakfast on their balcony. Blake Lively has also criticized photographers who stalked her at her home when she was pregnant.
