The petitioner's lawyer stated: “Fauzia will meet Aafia Siddiqui in the American jail from May 29 to 31”.


Islamabad: Fauzia Siddiqui—sister of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui who is in American prison—got the American visa to meet her sister at the end of this month.
According to details, Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq in Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday heard the petition to release Dr. Aafia from American prison and transfer to Pakistan.
The Additional Attorney General Munawar Iqbal Dogull told the court that Aafia Siddiqui's sister Fauzia Siddiqui has got a US visa to travel there.
The petitioner's lawyer stated: “Fauzia will meet Aafia Siddiqui in the American jail from May 29 to 31,” along with American lawyer Clive Smith.
Lawyer added that there should be an independent doctor for the psychological check-up of Aafia Siddiqui. Responding to which the court ordered that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should assist in providing a doctor.
The court ordered to share the documents and information related to Aafia Siddiqui with lawyer Clive Smith who will assure that provided data will be kept confidential and not used except in the case as the sole purpose of sharing information with him is to prepare the case.
Fauzia Siddiqui was directed by the court to apply whenever there is any problem, they will hear the next day. The court adjourned the case till June 30.
Dr. Aafia Siddiqui's lawyer, while talking to the media along with her sister said that a confidential letter was shared with the court by the lawyer from America which tells how Aafia Siddiqui can be brought back to Pakistan.
“The mental and physical torture that happened to Siddiqui was not told in court as she was tortured more than other prisoners,” said lawyer.
According to Smith, the way Aafia was tortured if it had been recorded then she would not have been punished.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has completely assured Fauzia Siddiqui about return of Aafia Siddiqui.
