The committe formed for investigation will meet these women in jail and inquire if they faced any ill-behavior during imprisonment.

Lahore: Two member-body comprising Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore Rafia Haider and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) investigation Dr. Anoosh Masood will visit Kot Lakhpat jail today (Monday) following the instructions of caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi to investigate the allegations of inappropriate behavior and ill practices with women in jail.
According to details, there have been speculations circulating on media regarding ill treatment with women in jail— claimed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)— who were arrested in the case of May 9 vandalism in Lahore.
11 out of 32 women are present in the jail at the moment, rest of them had been set free.
The committee formed for investigation will meet these women in jail and inquire if they faced or are facing any problem or ill behavior during imprisonment.
Talking to GNN, SSP Dr. Anoosh denied all the speculations regarding ill-treatment with arrested women.
She said: "There is female staff hired from top to bottom in women's jail and police station, no male is allowed to touch any women or enter the premises".
She called these speculations as rumors stating that female jail is a confined area that is monitored by CCTV cameras.
