BCCI is still stubborn to support Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) proposed hybrid model for the Asia Cup 2023.


Mumbai: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has expressed its reluctance to support Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) proposed hybrid model for the Asia Cup 2023.
BCCI made its stance clear during a meeting with Asian Cricket Council (ACC) members.
PCB's Management Committee Chairman, Najam Sethi, had proposed a hybrid model to address Indian concerns about visiting Islamabad.
The proposal suggested holding four preliminary rounds and two super four games in Pakistan, with India's matches and the final taking place at a neutral venue.
While some ACC members agreed to this model, the BCCI remains hesitant to endorse it.
ACC Chairman Jay Shah, who is also the BCCI secretary, conveyed the Indian board's position during an informal discussion with ACC members in Ahmedabad.
The final decision on the matter will be made by the executive body of the ACC, with a meeting expected to take place soon.
