Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 73 deaths and 5,152 new cases of coronavirus in one day as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 5,152 cases of coronavirus were reported while 73 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 16,316.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 761,437.
As many as 662,845 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,515 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 270,338 in the province with 7,457 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 272,729 in the province, while the death toll has reached 4,553.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 106,500 in the province with 2,899 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 20,940 confirmed cases while 223 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 15,669 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 439. On the other hand, there are 5,182 cases in GB with 103 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 70,079 cases in the capital city while 642 people have lost their lives.
