UK CGS lauds Pakistan’s efforts to bring peace, stability
During the meeting, regional security issues and matters of mutual interest were discussed.
Rawalpindi: Chief of General Staff (CGS) of British Army, General Sir Patrick Nicholas Yardley Monrad Sanders called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir in Rawalpindi on Wednesday and lauded Pakistan's efforts for bringing peace and stability in the region.
According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), CGS of British Army also acknowledged sacrifices and achievements of Pakistan Army in fight against terrorism.
During the meeting, regional security issues and matters of mutual interest were discussed.
Upon arrival at the General Headquarters (GHQ), British Army's Chief of General Staff, laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented the guard of honor to the visiting dignitary.
Earlier, he also called on Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza at Joint Staff Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
