National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is all set to provide passport facilities nationwide.

Islamabad: In response to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's directives, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) is preparing to launch passport counters at its offices in 30 tehsils nationwide, as per a notification released on Sunday.
Following a meeting chaired by PM Shehbaz in Islamabad, it was decided to establish passport counters at NADRA offices, ensuring citizens' more accessible access to CNIC and passport acquisition.
The designated tehsils without passport offices will be provided with the "passport counter" facility.
The upcoming passport counters will be established in various regions, including 12 small cities in the Lahore region, 2 in the Karachi region, 6 in Multan, 2 in Sargodha, 4 in KP, and 2 in Islamabad.
During a press conference in Rawalpindi, Director General Passport Yawar Hussain emphasized that the one-window passport counters at NADRA will be operated by the Passport and Immigration Department.
This initiative aims to streamline the passport application process and enhance citizen convenience.
Hussain also clarified that the fee for passport services at NADRA will be Rs1,000, in addition to the government fees.
He dismissed rumors regarding all NADRA offices issuing passports from June 10.
