CTD arrest nine terrorists in IBOs
Nine cases have been registered against them and investigation is underway.
Lahore: Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Punjab arrested nine terrorists while conducting secret Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) in different cities of the province.
According to CTD spokesman, the arrested terrorists are related to various illegal organizations. The operations were conducted in Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal and Gujranwala.
The officials stated that explosive materials, suicide vests, detonators, hand grenades, weapons, bullets, cash and phones were recovered from the terrorists.
The terrorists have been identified as Ateeq, Rashed, Riaz, Siddiq, Shoaib, Zahid, Kashif and others against whom five cases have been registered and investigation is underway.
According to CTD spokesperson, 56 suspects were arrested during 284 combing operations across the province during one week.
