There will be a ban on private practice within the premises of 500 meters of government hospitals.


Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Health Department banned the private practice of doctors near government hospitals.
Health Department issued a statement in this regard and announced ban on private practice or building a medical laboratory.
According to the announcement, there will be a ban on private practice within the premises of 500 meters of government hospitals.
The statement further added that the ban was imposed in the light of the Peshawar High Court's decision. It was decided to create a trend among doctors to spend their duty hours more at the hospital, rather than the private clinic.
Earlier, such statement was also issued, however it was not imposed. Now court has directed the district authorities to implement the order and take strict action against violators.
