Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assures the nation that he will personally address any delays in reaching the agreement.

Lahore: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan made an announcement on Sunday, revealing that all conditions set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had been fulfilled, clearing the path for finalizing an agreement with the donor agency.
During a one-hour conversation with the IMF's head, the Prime Minister assured the nation that he would personally address any delays in reaching the agreement.
In a separate event held in Lahore, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed the challenges faced by his government in completing development projects. He highlighted the construction of state-of-the-art sports complexes in 14 constituencies of Lahore during his tenure as Chief Minister.
Regrettably, the projects were brought to a halt when an illegitimate government came to power through rigged elections in 2018, he asserted. Shehbaz Sharif further emphasized that the previous government had taken charge of all the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, which were initiated under the administration of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The Prime Minister also announced that school and college students would not be required to pay a membership fee to access these sports complexes.
He mentioned that his government had increased the salaries of federal officers above Grade 17 by 30% and raised pensions for retired employees by 17.5%.
Referring to the incidents that occurred on May 9, the Prime Minister condemned them as acts of enmity that enemies had failed to achieve in 75 years. He stated that individuals who instigated the attacks on government facilities, resulting in significant damage within a single day, would be held accountable, pointing towards the leader of the PTI party. He reiterated that those found guilty in such events would face punishment.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of political stability in achieving economic stability for the country. He affirmed that, under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif, they would strive to bring economic stability to Pakistan.
