Islamabad: Pakistan’s first batch of MICADR trained and Islamabad Bar Council certified Mediation Advocates graduated today in a certificate distribution ceremony.
Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan honored the occasion as the chief guest while President Adil Aziz Qazi , member Islamabad Bar Council, also graced the ceremony.
Musaliha International Center for Arbitration and Dispute Resolution (MICADR) is an Alternate Dispute Resolution center that provides state-of-the-art mediation, arbitration and negotiation services for individuals and entities.
Justice Sardar Ejaz emphasized on Mediation Advocacy as a key pillar of the mediation ecosystem which is fast developing in Pakistan and acknowledged and efforts of MICADR in assisting the State in doing so. He reiterated the need for mediators and mediation advocates to be proactive in diverting cases to ADR and recommended strenuous and thorough data collection to ensure informed policy making in the future.
All 28 graduates of the program joined MICADR as mediation advocates.
