Lahore: Firdous Ashiq Awan, Central Secretary Information of Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), has clarified that her party will not form an 'electoral alliance' with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

Awan emphasized that the country is currently facing a constitutional crisis and called for immediate and transparent general elections as the only solution. When asked about a vote of no-confidence, she described it as a democratic process for ousting someone from power.

Jahangir Tareen officially launched the "Istehkam-e-Pakistan" party with several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) defectors attending the press conference. Tareen emphasized the need for leadership that can unite and address the economic and political crises facing the country. The party aims to work for the development of Pakistan and bring about unity in society.

In the latest interview, Firdous Ashiq Awan stated that supporting PML-N would lead to a 'political disaster', and her party cannot bear their burden.

The IPP leader also criticized the decision of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to resign from the national and provincial assemblies. According to her, this decision created a vacuum that directly benefited the ruling party. Awan held PTI and its chief, Imran Khan, responsible for the current crises faced by the country.

Expressing her dissatisfaction with the incumbent government, Awan highlighted the severe issues of inflation and unemployment faced by the people of Pakistan. She called for the dissolution of assemblies and the holding of general elections.

Earlier in June, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif mentioned the possibility of seat adjustments between PML-N and Jahangir Tareen's newly established Istehkam-e-Pakistan party (IPP) in the upcoming general elections. Asif stated that there is no threat from Tareen's party to PML-N and that general elections will take place on time, allowing room for seat adjustments.
