Lahore footballer arrested in connection with Jinnah House attack
Shumaila Sattar, known for her role as a goalkeeper in the national soccer team, now faces the legal consequences of her alleged participation in the Jinnah House attack.
Lahore: In a significant development, police authorities on Sunday apprehended Shumaila Sattar, a prominent soccer player, in relation to the Jinnah House attack that occurred on May 9.
Police sources confirmed the arrest and stated that Shumaila's name was flagged through the implementation of geo-fencing techniques, which led to the discovery of her involvement in the act of sabotage outside the historical Jinnah House.
A dedicated police team promptly conducted a raid at Shumaila's residence, resulting in her arrest.
Following due legal procedures, she was subsequently transferred to a correctional facility after obtaining judicial remand.

The Jinnah House incident, which involved arson at the Corps Commander House in Lahore, prompted the Punjab Home Department to establish five joint investigation teams (JITs) to meticulously investigate the case.
These JITs have been assigned the task of conducting a comprehensive inquiry into the Jinnah House attack as well as the assault on Askari Tower that occurred on the same day, May 9.
