US delegation came to Pakistan to discuss Khadija Salman Shah's release.

Lahore: A delegation of United States officials met with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) activist Khadija Salman Shah at Kot Lakhpat Jail to discuss her release, according to sources.
Khadija Shah, a well-known fashion designer, and US citizen, was arrested in connection with the arson at Lahore Corp Commander House during the violent protests on May 9.
The meeting, which lasted approximately an hour, focused on the legal aspects surrounding Shah's release.
The Ministry of Interior had granted permission for the US consul general in Lahore to access Shah due to her dual citizenship.
The discussions between US officials and Khadija Shah centered on her case and possible avenues for resolution.
US State Department deputy spokesman, Vedant Patel confirmed Shah's dual nationality and expressed the readiness to provide appropriate assistance to US citizens detained overseas.
