Islamabad: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has made predictions about monsoon rains in the country's largest city, Karachi, in mid-July.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of warm and humid weather in Karachi until mid-July, and although heavy rain is not expected in the city at the moment, light showers or drizzling are likely in the morning and evening.
Officials have stated that the effects of monsoon rains will be observed in Karachi from July 10 to 15, and there is a possibility of scattered rainfall during this period.
On the other hand, partially cloudy conditions are expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next 24 hours. Islamabad will also experience warm and humid weather.
Most districts in Balochistan and Sindh will remain hot and humid, but there is a chance of thunderstorms accompanied by rain in Lahore, Quetta, Okara, and Gujranwala.
According to the Meteorological Department, most districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will experience warm and dry weather, but there is a possibility of thunderstorms with rain in Kohistan and Swat.
The report also states that during the past 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 31 millimeters was recorded in Tooba Tek Singh, while Jhang received 12 millimeters, Khanpur 10 millimeters, Bahawalnagar 7 millimeters, Khuzdar 9 millimeters, and 4 millimeters of rainfall recorded at Bokra near Islamabad.
