Karachi: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had warned in its weather outlook that Karachi could face a new heatwave which is expected to hit the coastal city starting today.

As per Met department, the mercury could soar beyond 40 degrees and the heatwave will last till April 25.
Karachi is likely to experience two heatwaves during the month of Ramazan.
The PMD had earlier warned in its weather outlook that Sindh, Southern Punjab, eastern and southern Balochistan will remain in the grip of very hot and dry weather in April.
Dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country during in next 12 hours.
However, rain with thunderstorm is expected in northeast Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.
