Pakistan Army to help enforce coronavirus SOPs: PM
Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that government will seek help of Pakistan Army to enforce coronavirus Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
While speaking to nation post meeting of National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), Prime Minister warned that Pakistan may soon be facing a similar situation to India if people do not follow precautionary measures.
"If our situation become the same as India, we will have no choice but to close down cities. But we can't do that as experience has shown that daily wagers and laborers suffer the most when lockdowns are imposed,” he said.
Speaking on occassion, Asad Umar stated that areas where positivity ration is more than 5%, all schools will remain closed.
“There will be a 50% work from home policy and office timings are restricted to 2pm. All gyms across the country will remain closed. Outdoor dining will remain closed till Eid,” he added.
