SBP governor announces to bring 5-7% inflation rate in 2 years
State Bank of Pakistan issues a new currency note of Rs50.
Karachi: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Governor, Jameel Ahmed, addressed the importance of tackling inflation during a ceremony, stating that the 5-7% inflation rate will be reduced in 2 years.
Governor Jameel Ahmed issued a new currency note of Rs50 during the ceremony.
He expressed pride in the State Bank's foundation laid by Quaid-e-Azam (the founding father of Pakistan).
The Governor mentioned that State Bank's over 16,000 branches are operating across the country, and digital banking facilities have been introduced.
Customers can now open accounts and handle transactions from the comfort of their homes.
Overseas Pakistanis also enjoy various facilities related to banking services.
