Lahore: Former Information and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry has been granted interim bail by Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in May 9 riots case.
According to details, in two separate cases, including the May 9 riots case, the ATC granted interim release to former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry until August 8.
Chaudhry was relieved by the court's ruling since it prevented the police from detaining him. He is temporarily shielded from detention by the interim bail until August 8.
The court has ordered Fawad Chaudhry to provide a surety bond in the amount of Rs100,000 for each case as part of the bail requirements.
