He claimed that Pakistan enjoyed fostering development and prosperity in the area.


Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday stated that Pakistan seeks progress, prosperity in region while signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding disaster management with Switzerland.
He said: “This is a crucial step that will encourage cooperation between the two nations in the future so they can harness technology and expertise to jointly combat natural disasters”.
PM addressed at the ceremony expressing excitement for Swiss collaboration in obtaining an enhanced warning system and other technology to protect Pakistan as much as possible from natural disasters.
He highlighted that despite Pakistan having very low carbon emissions, the country was nevertheless experiencing the effects of global climate change.
“Pakistan intended to strengthen bilateral connections with Switzerland in a number of areas, including the travel and tourism industry, because the nation was endowed with a wealth of natural beauty,” added the prime minister.
Shehbaz expressed appreciation for the foreign minister of Switzerland's comments regarding the peace in the region, saying that it was crucial to keep the peace in this area of the world and that Switzerland might act as a catalyst to advance peace in the area.
He claimed that Pakistan enjoyed fostering development and prosperity in the area.
The premier reiterated that there could be no lasting peace in this part of the world till their issues including Kashmir were completely resolved.
