Peshawar: Mardan, a popular city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), has reported the highest Covid-19 positivity ratio 41 percent in last 24 hours.

As Pakistan battles deadlier third wave of coronavirus, the number of cases in KP has also increased in past few weeks. The province overall reported 15.2 percent positivity level with Peshawar, Haripur reporting 27 percent positivity ratio and Lower Dir 34 percent.
Moreover, Nowshera reported 25 percent positivity ratio, while Malakand 23 percent, Charsadda and Swabi 18 percent, Shangla and Chitral 16 percent.
The confirmed cases in province have surged to 112,140 in the province with 3,066 casualties.
Pakistan has reported 157 deaths in one day as the third wave of the pandemic continued to rage across the country.
According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 5,908 cases of coronavirus were reported while 157 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 16,999.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 790,016.
As many as 682,290 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,682 critical cases.
