A new NAB ordinance is applied against Usman Buzdar.

Lahore: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to arrest former Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar after conducting a brief investigation against him.
According to sources, NAB has requested the Chairman of NAB for the issuance of an arrest warrant.
Under the new ordinance, Usman Buzdar can be arrested even during the inquiry.
NAB states that the new ordinance will be applied to Usman Buzdar, who has failed to appear before NAB Lahore 14 times, despite being summoned.
Usman Buzdar's lawyer had requested that he cannot be presented before NAB Lahore, which NAB has rejected.
NAB has also refused to accept a response from Usman Buzdar's lawyer.
According to sources, investigations are underway regarding the accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income, irregularities in property settlements and exchanges, and mismanagement in contracts.
The case of accumulating assets worth more than 9 billion rupees against the Buzdar family is under inspection.
Additionally, investigations are also being conducted into the wheat embezzlement case involving Usman Buzdar.
