Dubai: A man apparently looking sheikh proudly threw dollars at a showroom of the most expensive cars in United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been arrested.
According to Gulf News, police have arrested the man for making offensive video on social media at a luxury car showroom in UAE, ordering the resident to be detained before trial. Whereas multiple allegations are pending investigation.
The individual is alleged to have used the information network to spread sensational propaganda for which a video was made to incite public opinion and harm public interest. He has been accused of disseminating such content that was against media content standards and offensive to UAE society.
It has been reported that the charges came after a social media video of the suspect dressed in Emirati clothes at a luxury car showroom by the Federal Investigation Department of the UAE Attorney General's Office went viral.
The video shows two men following the defendant entering a luxury car showroom with a large sum of money, where the man engages in a conversation with the owner of the car showroom.

It can be seen in the video that the man then proceeds to distribute the financial package to the showroom workers in a manner that shows he has a lack of respect for the value of money.

In addition to the charges against this person, the public prosecution also summoned the owner of the car showroom where this video was shot.
Public Prosecution urged social media users in the UAE to adhere to legal and ethical standards in their media content. It also advised them to respect social norms and values in UAE, which are governed by the law.
