Another PTI leader and former MPA quits party
Neelum praised the army for making significant sacrifices for the sake of the country.
Lahore: Former MPA Neelum Hayat Malik on Friday that she was leaving the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Friday.
Neelum Hayat saying that Pakistan and the national institutions were the most important things to her.
Former member of Punjab Assembly – said he could no longer remain associated with the PTI and that she made the decision after consulting all of her friends.
She condemned the events that transpired on May 9, adding that she opposes the politics of hatred and violence. Neelum praised the army for making significant sacrifices for the sake of the country.
Noting that those, who advised PTI chief, have already left the party, the Neelum said she had never spoken against the institutions. She said the first thing needed to do politics was making Pakistan strong and added that they could not damage the honour of institutions for their personal politics.
She made it clear that she could not support the party because of its "anti-state" narrative.
Earlier, many bigwigs of the PTI, bid farewell to the embattled party including Abrarul Haq, Firdous Ashiq Awan, Fawad Chaudhry, Murad Raas among others.
