Schools, colleges, and non-essential services will remain closed in Delhi for a few days.

New Delhi: New Delhi, the capital city of India, is currently facing a severe flood situation, severely impacting daily life.
According to Indian media reports, there has been a significant decrease in the water level of the Yamuna River, reaching a record low of 207.68 meters.
In response to the situation, the Chief Minister of New Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, stated that work is underway to open all five gates of the Yamuna Barrage.
He mentioned that if there is no rainfall, the situation is expected to normalize in a few days.
Kejriwal further added that operations to clear waterlogged streets are ongoing, but schools, colleges, and non-essential services will remain closed in New Delhi.
The entire city is submerged in water, with major highways affected, and even the Supreme Court is partially submerged, according to Indian media. Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted light rainfall in New Delhi today.
It is worth mentioning that the railway tracks in New Delhi were submerged due to the flooding, and even the Rajghat, associated with Mahatma Gandhi, was submerged in water.
Due to the closure of three water treatment plants, there is a scarcity of clean drinking water in the city, and the erratic power supply has left several areas in darkness.
