Islamabad: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is anxiously awaiting the government's approval for Pakistan's participation in the upcoming World Cup 2023 (WC) to be held in India.
Despite ten days passing, the high-profile committee headed by Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has not convened any meetings.
The committee was formed ten days ago by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to deliberate on recommendations regarding Pakistan's participation in the WC in India.
The committee will decide whether the Pakistani team should compete in the scheduled World Cup or boycott it.
However, the lack of any meetings from the committee has raised concerns.
After the announcement of the government's completion of its term, questions have arisen as to whether the decision to participate or boycott the World Cup will be made in the light of the high-profile committee's recommendations or by the interim federal government.
