Punjab caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir claimed that no bullet was fired on May 9 across Punjab.


Lahore: Punjab police have arrested 2138 suspects in five major cities in connection with the May 9 violence.
According to details, authorities have disclosed information on riot suspects detained on terrorism-related offenses in five major cities on May 9.
As per police record, 645 individuals, including 93 people named as suspects in the incident on May 9 from Lahore, were detained in 14 terrorist cases.
Further, in two instances from Gujranwala, police detained 173 suspects. In fourteen cases from Rawalpindi, they detained 438 individuals. In nine cases from Sargodha, they detained 670 people.
In addition, the Punjab police detained 212 suspects in five terrorist cases while releasing 159 suspects in 44 cases following the identification parade.
Earlier, Punjab caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir claimed that no bullet was fired on May 9 across Punjab.
According to him, police have detained hundreds of people in connection with the incident on May 9 and are prosecuting them. He stated that the PTI leader is the subject of eight charges for allegedly taking part in the violence on May 9 and that he will be detained when the time is appropriate.
