Peshawar: A case has been lodged against Health Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Taimur Khan Jhagra for violating coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Reportedly, the Health Minister attended an Iftar-dinner in his constituency at a restaurant and most of the attendees, including him did not wear masks and were found flouting COVID-19 protocols.

Pictures of the dinner went viral on social media in which it can clearly be seen that COVID-related SOPs and social distancing were openly neglected in the party.
The cases were registered against Taimur Saleem Jhagra, restaurant manager and its owner on the complaint of Assistant Commissioner Adil Ayub.
The restaurant was also sealed while legal proceedings are underway.
A day prior, in wake of worsening situation of deadly third wave of coronavirus, Spokesperson of Sindh government Murtaza Wahab Monday announced that all schools, colleges and universities will remain closed in the province.
