Sialkot: A second flash flood from India has struck the River Chenab, causing significant damage and posing risks to communities downstream.
At the Head Marala location, a staggering influx of 210,983 cubic feet per second of water was recorded, while an outflow of 192,960 cubic feet per second was released, exacerbating the flooding situation.
Similarly, at Head Khanki, the water influx reached 188,934 cubic feet per second, with an outflow of 110,000 cubic feet per second, further adding to the rising water levels.
Head Qadirabad experienced an influx of 177,775 cubic feet per second, with an outflow of 90,000 cubic feet per second, putting the region on high alert for potential flooding consequences.
Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and working to address the challenges posed by these floodwaters.
Local communities in the affected areas are urged to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety.
